The fixed column door stop is composed of a rigid column and a rubber pad at one end. The other end is used to fix the wall or skirting board by drilling and threading.
Now, collect a high-quality fixed door stop, a pencil mark, a drill and some screws. Mark the points of the skirting board that indicate the edge of the door with a pencil. Now mark the second point at least 1.5 inches from the previous point toward the door hinge. Here, always keep a distance of two points to avoid the impact of the hollow door.
After marking the two points, now use a 1/8-inch drill to drill holes in the base plate. The hole will be on the second marked point. After punching holes in the skirting board, now rotate the screw of the door stop by turning the threaded screw clockwise. When the door stop is flush with the wall, the door stop will be tightened. Test the doorstop by fully opening the door and verify that it does not touch the wall.
