The difference between lock body and lock cylinder

Different properties

1.Lock cylinder: The main component that controls the opening of a lock, which is the heart of the lock and refers to the core part that can rotate and drive the movement of the lock bolt in conjunction with the key.

2.Lock body: One of the components of a lock, there are many types of lock bodies, common ones are one-way lock bodies, three-way lock bodies, four-way lock bodies, etc.

Different functions

1. The main function of the lock cylinder is to transmit the torsion of the head, thereby driving the other parts of the lock to unlock and lock. Padlocks, drawer locks, door locks and Bicycle lock have different head structures and different ways of transmitting torsion, but they have the same function.  
   

   2. The lock body is responsible for opening and locking doors and windows, and plays an important role in anti-theft.
