1.Mark the Spindle Hole: Choose your desired height on the door. Measure 34mm from the door edge and mark this spot. This is where the spindle (the rod connecting the handle to the indicator) will pass through.
2.Drill the Hole: Use a 12mm drill bit to drill a hole through the door.
Pro Tip: To prevent the wood from splintering, stop drilling just as the tip of the bit pokes through the other side, then finish the hole by drilling from the outside toward the inside.
3.Prepare the Spindle: Insert the spindle through the hole. Depending on your door thickness, you may need to cut the spindle with a hacksaw. It should protrude about 10mm from the outside face of the door.
4.Mount the Indicator (Outside): Ensure the indicator is set to "Vacant" (Green/Blue) and the internal handle is in the open position. Slide the indicator plate onto the spindle on the outside of the door, mark the screw holes, and fix it in place.
5.Mount the Lock Body (Inside): Align the main lock body over the spindle on the inside of the door. Ensure it is level, mark the four corner holes, and secure it using the provided screws.
6.Install the Keeper (Frame): Close the door and slide the bolt into the "Locked" position. Place the metal keep (the small bracket) on the door frame where the bolt lands. Mark the holes and screw it into the frame.
1.General Operation
To Lock: Once inside, rotate the internal handle 90 degrees. You will feel a solid "click" as the deadbolt slides into the keeper. The external indicator will automatically flip from Green (Vacant) to Red (Engaged).
To Unlock: Rotate the handle back to the vertical position. This retracts the bolt and changes the external signal back to Green, signaling to others that the room is free.
2.Emergency Access

Locate the small slotted circular dial on the outside indicator face.
Insert a flat-head screwdriver or a small coin into the slot.
Turn the dial to manually retract the bolt from the outside.

Cleaning: Since it is made of stainless steel, simply wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or bleach, as these can scratch the finish.
1.Under 12mm: The door might be too thin for the screws to grip securely without poking through the other side.
2.12mm to 40mm: This is the "sweet spot" for this specific model.
3.Over 45mm: You will likely need to replace the included spindle with a longer one.
