1. Floor Pillar Installation
Determine Placement: Open the door to your desired maximum position. Place the pillar on the floor, leaving about 2-4 inches of space from the wall to ensure the door handle doesn't hit the wall.
Mark & Drill: Use the base of the pillar as a template to mark the screw holes on the floor. Drill pilot holes (use a masonry bit for tile or concrete).
Secure the Base: Insert plastic anchors into the holes, then screw the mounting plate onto the floor.
Attach the Pillar: Most Degol models have a threaded base; simply twist the pillar body clockwise onto the fixed mounting plate until tight.
2. Door Catch Installation
Alignment: The most critical step. Attach the magnetic catch to the pillar head first. Swing the door open until it touches the catch. Mark the exact spot on the door where the catch meets it.
Mount the Catch: Screw Method: Unscrew the decorative cover from the catch, screw the internal plate into the door, then thread the cover back on.
