Clean and dry the bottom surface of the door completely.
Place the kick plate on the lower part of door, keep equal gaps on both sides, mark the mounting holes with pencil.
Remove the plate, drill small pilot holes on marked positions.
Align kick plate with holes, fasten screws tightly.
Peel off the protective plastic film from plate surface.
Thoroughly clean and dry the door surface, free of dust, grease and paint residue.
Peel off a small section of the adhesive backing tape.
Align the kick plate to desired position, press firmly from center to both sides.
Remove the rest protective film and press the whole plate for 2‑3 minutes.
Do not slam the door within 24 hours for best bonding effect.
Q1: Can kick plates be installed on exterior doors?
A1. Yes. Stainless‑steel or aluminum kick plates are suitable for exterior doors, with good rust resistance for outdoor weather conditions.
Q2: Can I cut the kick plate to a custom shorter length?
A2. Sure. Metal kick plates can be cut to your required size with metal‑cutting tools. We also support pre‑cut OEM sizes.
Q3: Is self‑adhesive kick plate suitable for textured doors?
A3. Not recommended. Adhesive works best on smooth, flat surfaces. Textured doors should choose screw‑mounted type for stable installation.
