1.Remove the Securing Screw: Open the door and locate the long fixing screw on the edge of the door (the forend), which is aligned with the bottom of the lock cylinder. Use a screwdriver to unscrew and remove it completely.
2.Align the Internal Cam: Insert your key into the cylinder (or use the thumb turn) and turn it slightly (usually about 20°) to align the internal black cam with the body of the cylinder. This allows the unit to slide out without catching.
3.Remove the Old Cylinder: Gently pull the cylinder toward you from either side of the door. If it sticks, wiggle the key slightly while pulling.
4.Insert the New Degol Cylinder: Insert the key into your new cylinder, align the cam again, and slide it into the hole until the screw hole in the cylinder aligns perfectly with the hole on the edge of the door.
