First, safely remove the sliding window sash from its track by lifting it upward and pulling the bottom toward you. Once removed, locate the old rollers at the bottom of the frame and unscrew the mounting fasteners to slide the damaged units out. Insert your new aluminum sliding window roller into the slot, ensuring the wheel faces the track, and secure it with the mounting screws. Use a screwdriver on the adjustable end screw to fine-tune the wheel height until the sash is perfectly level and glides effortlessly. Finally, place the window back into the frame and test the sliding motion for a quiet, heavy-duty performance.
